
Carranza's Government
Venustiano Carranza led the Mexican government from 1917 until 1920 after the Mexican Revolution, a complex conflict over land, rights, and power. His leadership focused on implementing constitutional reforms aimed at land redistribution, labor rights, and reducing foreign influence in Mexico, particularly from the U.S. Carranza's government also emphasized national sovereignty and sought to stabilize the country after years of turmoil. While he made significant contributions to modernizing Mexico, his regime faced challenges, including opposition from rival revolutionary factions, ultimately leading to his assassination in 1920, marking a turbulent period in Mexican history.
