Nana Sahib
Nana Sahib, born in 1824, was an Indian leader during the Indian Rebellion of 1857 against British colonial rule. He was the adopted son of the last Peshwa of the Maratha Empire and became a symbol of resistance. Initially seeking to reclaim his family’s rights, he emerged as a key figure in the uprising, which was fueled by widespread dissatisfaction with British policies. After the failure of the rebellion, he disappeared, leading to various legends about his fate. Nana Sahib remains a historical figure associated with the struggle for India's independence.
