Kurds

The Kurds are an ethnic group primarily located in the mountainous regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, and Syria, known as Kurdistan. They have a distinct language and culture, with traditions that date back thousands of years. Despite being the fourth-largest ethnic group in the Middle East, Kurds have often sought greater autonomy or independence, leading to conflicts with the governments of the countries they inhabit. Many Kurds aspire to preserve their identity and rights, and armed groups like the Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) have been involved in various struggles, particularly in Turkey.
