ITER Organization

The ITER Organization is an international research project aimed at demonstrating nuclear fusion as a viable energy source. Fusion is the process that powers the sun and involves combining light atomic nuclei to release enormous amounts of energy. Located in France, ITER brings together scientists and engineers from 35 countries, including the EU, the U.S., and China, to build a large experimental reactor. The goal is to create a sustainable and nearly limitless energy supply while minimizing nuclear waste and safety risks associated with traditional nuclear power.
