Cholestasis

Cholestasis is a medical condition where the flow of bile from the liver is reduced or blocked. Bile is a fluid that helps with digestion, especially in breaking down fats. When cholestasis occurs, it can lead to symptoms like jaundice (yellowing of the skin and eyes), itching, dark urine, and pale stools. This condition can be caused by various factors, including liver disease, pregnancy, certain medications, or obstructions in the bile ducts.
