Buddha
Buddha, meaning "the Awakened One," refers to Siddhartha Gautama, an Indian prince who lived around the 5th to 4th centuries BCE. After experiencing deep suffering and searching for answers to life's fundamental questions, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree. He taught the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, which provide a framework for understanding suffering and achieving spiritual liberation (Nirvana). Buddha’s teachings emphasize mindfulness, compassion, and the importance of ethical living. His insights laid the foundation for Buddhism, a major world religion focused on personal spiritual development and the pursuit of wisdom.
