Aristotelianism

Aristotelianism is a philosophical framework developed by Aristotle that focuses on the relationship between universals and particulars. Universals are general concepts or categories, like "redness" or "beauty," while particulars are specific instances of those concepts, such as a red apple or a beautiful painting. Aristotle argued that universals exist within particulars and are not separate entities. This means that our understanding of a concept is rooted in specific examples we encounter in the world, allowing us to comprehend and classify our experiences based on shared characteristics. Aristotle's ideas laid the groundwork for much of Western philosophy and science.
