Alkalosis

Alkalosis is a condition in which the body’s fluids have a higher-than-normal pH, making them more alkaline (less acidic). This imbalance can occur due to various factors, such as excessive loss of stomach acid from vomiting, over-breathing (respiratory alkalosis), or certain medical conditions. Symptoms may include muscle twitching, hand tremors, and confusion. It's important because it can affect bodily functions and lead to serious health issues if left untreated. Treatment typically focuses on addressing the underlying cause and restoring normal pH levels.
