Young Turk Revolution

The Young Turk Revolution, occurring in 1908 in the Ottoman Empire, was a movement led by a group of reformist officers and intellectuals known as the Young Turks. They aimed to restore the constitution and modernize the empire, which had been struggling with corruption and decline. The revolution successfully forced the Sultan, Abdulhamid II, to reinstate the constitution, promoting ideas of nationalism, democracy, and secularism. However, the movement eventually faced challenges, including internal conflict and World War I, leading to the empire's collapse and the rise of the Republic of Turkey.
