Tongmenghui

Tongmenghui, or the Chinese Revolutionary Alliance, was a political organization founded in 1905 to promote the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty in China. It aimed to unify various revolutionary groups and was instrumental in the fight for a republican government. The alliance, led by figures such as Sun Yat-sen, sought to end imperial rule and establish democracy based on principles of nationalism, democracy, and people's livelihood. Tongmenghui played a vital role in the 1911 Revolution, which successfully led to the fall of the Qing Dynasty and the establishment of the Republic of China.
