Anti-Manchu Movement

The Anti-Manchu Movement was a national movement in early 20th-century China aimed at resisting and ending Manchu rule, which had begun with the Qing Dynasty's conquest in 1644. Many Han Chinese and other ethnic groups viewed the Manchu rulers as foreigners and believed they oppressed Chinese culture and interests. The movement gained momentum through protests, political groups, and revolutionary activities, ultimately leading to the fall of the Qing Dynasty in 1911 and the establishment of the Republic of China. This movement symbolized a desire for national sovereignty, cultural identity, and the end of foreign domination.
