Titoism

Titoism refers to the political and economic practices of Josip Broz Tito, the leader of Yugoslavia from World War II until the 1980s. Unlike other communist countries that strictly followed Soviet doctrines, Titoism promoted a more independent, decentralized form of socialism. Tito sought to create a sense of national identity and unity among Yugoslavia's diverse ethnic groups, resisting Soviet control and emphasizing self-management in industries. This approach allowed for more personal freedoms and some degree of market economy, as well as unique diplomatic relations with both Western and Eastern blocs during the Cold War.
