Yugoslav socialism

Yugoslav socialism was a unique form of socialism developed in the former Yugoslavia, particularly under the leadership of Josip Broz Tito after World War II. Unlike the Soviet model, which emphasized centralized control, Yugoslav socialism promoted self-management, allowing workers in factories to have a say in their operations. This system aimed to combine socialist principles with elements of decentralized governance and national self-determination. It also focused on cooperation among diverse ethnic groups in the region, attempting to balance individual republics' autonomy with a unified Yugoslav identity until rising tensions eventually led to its disintegration in the 1990s.
