Non-Alignment

Non-Alignment, in the context of Titoism, refers to the foreign policy approach adopted by Yugoslav leader Josip Broz Tito during the Cold War. It involved Yugoslavia choosing not to formally align with either the Western capitalist bloc, led by the United States, or the Eastern communist bloc, led by the Soviet Union. Instead, Tito promoted a third path that emphasized independence, self-determination, and cooperation among nations. The Non-Aligned Movement arose from this ideology, allowing countries to assert their sovereignty and pursue their interests without being drawn into superpower rivalries.
