Theological Determinism
Theological determinism is the belief that everything that happens in the universe, including human actions, is predetermined by God’s will or knowledge. This means that God has a plan for everything, and since He is all-knowing, He knows every choice we will make in advance. This view often contrasts with the idea of free will, suggesting that while people think they make choices, those choices are ultimately part of a divine blueprint. In historical determinism, events are determined by historical forces, but theological determinism specifically ties outcomes to divine orchestration.
