Divine sovereignty refers to the belief that God is the ultimate authority and ruler over everything in existence. In the context of predestination, it means that God has foreordained certain events or outcomes, including who will be saved. Providence relates to how God actively governs and cares for the world, guiding events according to His purpose. Together, these concepts affirm that while humans make choices, God's overarching plan is unshakeable, ensuring that everything unfolds according to His divine will, ultimately for the good of creation.
