Shakyamuni Buddha
Shakyamuni Buddha, also known simply as the Buddha, was a spiritual teacher who lived around the 5th to 4th century BCE in ancient India. His birth name was Siddhartha Gautama. After a life of luxury, he renounced his possessions to seek enlightenment, ultimately achieving it through meditation. He then shared his insights on suffering, the nature of existence, and the path to enlightenment, which form the foundation of Buddhism. His teachings emphasize mindfulness, compassion, and ethical living, encouraging followers to understand the nature of suffering and how to overcome it, promoting a peaceful and balanced life.
