Light is a form of energy that travels in waves and can be seen by the human eye. It is part of the electromagnetic spectrum, which includes other types of waves like radio, infrared, and ultraviolet. Light enables us to see because it reflects off objects and enters our eyes, where it is processed into images. It travels incredibly fast, about 299,792 kilometers per second (186,282 miles per second) in a vacuum. Light can exhibit properties of both waves and particles, a concept known as wave-particle duality, which is fundamental to understanding many aspects of physics and technology.
