Indo-Pakistani history

Indo-Pakistani history centers on the partition of British India in 1947, which created two independent nations: India and Pakistan. This division was based on religious lines, with Pakistan intended as a homeland for Muslims. The partition led to mass migrations and communal violence, resulting in significant loss of life. Since then, India and Pakistan have had a tumultuous relationship, marked by several wars, territorial disputes (notably over Kashmir), and ongoing political tensions. Despite efforts at dialogue, issues such as security, identity, and religious differences continue to influence their interactions.
