First Battle of Panipat
The First Battle of Panipat was fought on April 20, 1526, marking a significant turning point in Indian history. It was a confrontation between the Mughal leader Babur and Ibrahim Lodi, the Sultan of Delhi. Babur, with innovative tactics and a smaller, well-disciplined army, defeated Ibrahim Lodi, who had a larger force but was less organized. This victory laid the foundation for the establishment of the Mughal Empire in India, ultimately transforming the region’s political landscape and leading to centuries of Mughal rule. The battle is often considered the start of the modern history of India.
