Panipat is a historical city located in the northern Indian state of Haryana, approximately 90 kilometers north of Delhi. It is renowned for three significant battles fought in the 18th century, which played a crucial role in shaping the course of Indian history. The First Battle of Panipat (1526) marked the beginning of the Mughal Empire. The Second (1556) and Third Battles (1761) were pivotal conflicts involving major powers of the time, such as the Marathas and the Afghans. Today, Panipat is also known for its textile industry, making it an important commercial center in the region.
