Indian National Army

The Indian National Army (INA) was a military force formed during World War II with the aim of securing India's independence from British rule. Led by figures such as Subhas Chandra Bose, the INA was composed mainly of Indian prisoners of war and expatriates who allied with Japan against British forces. The INA sought to inspire a nationalist movement and conducted military campaigns in Southeast Asia. Although it ultimately did not succeed in its military objectives, the INA played a significant role in promoting the idea of independence and contributed to the broader struggle against colonialism in India.
