Giza Pyramids
The Giza Pyramids, located near Cairo, Egypt, are ancient structures built as tombs for pharaohs during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, around 2580–2560 BCE. The most famous is the Great Pyramid of Giza, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one still largely intact. These pyramids showcase remarkable engineering, aligned with celestial bodies, and constructed using massive limestone and granite blocks. They served not just as burial sites but also as part of a larger complex for worship and ceremonies, reflecting the ancient Egyptians' beliefs in the afterlife.
