Giza Plateau

The Giza Plateau is a significant archaeological site in Egypt, located just outside Cairo. It is best known for its iconic pyramids, including the Great Pyramid of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. The Plateau also features the Sphinx, a giant statue with a lion's body and a human head. These structures were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, around 2580 to 2560 BC, as elaborate tombs for pharaohs.
