The Pyramids of Giza Plateau, located near Cairo, Egypt, are ancient structures built as tombs for pharaohs during the Old Kingdom period around 2580–2560 BCE. The three main pyramids belong to pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the largest and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Made of limestone and granite, these pyramids showcase impressive engineering skills and align with celestial bodies.
