Khafre
Khafre was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of the Fourth Dynasty, ruling around 2500 BCE. He is famous for building the second-largest pyramid at Giza and the Sphinx, a monumental limestone statue with a lion's body and a human head, which likely represents him. Khafre's tomb complex included a beautiful mortuary temple and causeway connecting to the Sphinx. His reign contributed significantly to Egypt's architectural and cultural achievements, symbolizing the power and divine authority of the pharaoh. Today, the Great Sphinx and his pyramid are iconic symbols of ancient Egypt’s grandeur.
