Boudica
Boudica was a queen of the Iceni tribe in ancient Britain, known for leading a major uprising against Roman rule around AD 60-61. After her husband’s death, the Romans annexed her tribe’s lands, prompting her to revolt. Boudica's forces achieved initial victories, capturing and destroying several Roman settlements, including Londinium (London). However, her rebellion ultimately ended in defeat against a well-organized Roman army. Boudica is remembered as a symbol of resistance and strength, and her legacy continues to inspire discussions about freedom and leadership in the face of oppression.
