Celtic chariots
Celtic chariots were two-wheeled vehicles used by the ancient Celts, primarily between 500 BCE and 100 CE. They were typically drawn by horses and served both military and ceremonial purposes. Constructed from wood and reinforced with metal, chariots often had a lightweight design for speed and maneuverability in battle. The driver controlled the horses while a passenger could use weapons or act as a standard-bearer. These chariots showcased the Celts' advanced craftsmanship and played a significant role in their warfare strategies and social status. Their use declined with the Roman conquest and the rise of more advanced cavalry tactics.
