Iceni

The Iceni were a Celtic tribe in ancient Britain, primarily located in what is now Norfolk. They are most famous for their queen, Boudica, who led a major uprising against Roman occupation around AD 60-61. The Iceni resisted Roman rule after the death of their king, PrasUGus, and the imposition of heavy taxes. Boudica's revolt, despite initial successes, was ultimately defeated by the Romans, but it remains a significant symbol of resistance and nationalism in British history. The Iceni's legacy is often associated with themes of courage and the struggle for freedom.
