Australian Parliament

The Australian Parliament is the country's legislative body, responsible for making and changing laws. It consists of two houses: the House of Representatives, which is made up of elected members representing different regions, and the Senate, which represents the states and territories. Parliament meets in Canberra, the capital city, and is guided by the principles of democracy. Members are elected by the public, and they debate issues, propose new laws, and review existing ones. The government, led by the Prime Minister, emerges from the majority party in the House of Representatives, while the Senate plays a key role in oversight.
