Minority Government
A minority government occurs when a political party wins the most seats in an election but does not achieve an outright majority (more than half) in the legislature. This means they must rely on support from other parties to pass laws and govern effectively. While they can form a government, their position is often unstable, as they lack a guaranteed majority and may face challenges in maintaining support on key votes. This can lead to negotiations and compromises with other parties to achieve legislative goals.
