Anglo-Mysore conflicts

The Anglo-Mysore conflicts were a series of four wars fought between the British East India Company and the Kingdom of Mysore in India from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. Key figures included the Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan and his father, Hyder Ali. The conflicts arose from British ambitions to expand their control in India and Mysore's military resistance. These wars ended with British dominance in southern India, significantly weakening Mysore and paving the way for increased British colonial influence in the region.
