Tipu Sultan

Tipu Sultan was a 18th-century ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in southern India, known for his strong resistance against British colonial expansion. A skilled military leader and innovative strategist, he sought to defend his kingdom’s independence through reforms and modernization efforts, including improved weaponry and administration. Tipu Sultan also promoted science, technology, and trade. His fierce opposition to British forces made him a prominent figure in Indian history, symbolizing resistance against colonial domination. Despite his efforts, he was eventually defeated and died in 1799 during a British attack, leaving a legacy of patriotism and resistance.
