Anglo-Mysore Wars

The Anglo-Mysore Wars were a series of conflicts in the late 18th century between the British East India Company and the Kingdom of Mysore in India, ruled primarily by Sultan Tipu. There were four wars from 1767 to 1799, driven by competition for control over territory and trade. Each war involved shifting alliances and significant battles, with the British ultimately emerging victorious in the final war, leading to the fall of Tipu Sultan and increased British dominance in southern India. These wars were pivotal in shaping British colonial influence in India and altering the region's political landscape.
