Mysore Kingdom

The Mysore Kingdom, also known as the Kingdom of Mysore, was a prominent South Indian state that existed from the 14th century until India’s independence in 1947. It was ruled by a series of dynasties, notably the Wadiyar family, and was known for its rich cultural heritage, flourishing arts, and contributions to architecture and education. The kingdom expanded its territory through military and diplomatic means and was a significant political and economic power in the region. After independence, it became part of the Indian Union, and its legacy continues through the modern state of Karnataka.
