ALS Association

The ALS Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord, leading to muscle weakness and eventual loss of movement. Founded in 1985, the association supports research to find treatments and a cure, provides care services for those affected, and works to raise awareness about the disease. Through advocacy and community engagement, the ALS Association aims to improve the quality of life for ALS patients and their families while promoting scientific advancements in understanding and combating the illness.
