Pete Frates Foundation
The Pete Frates Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness and funding for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurological disease. Founded in honor of Pete Frates, a former collegiate athlete who was diagnosed with ALS, the foundation focuses on research, patient care, and advocacy to improve the lives of those affected by the disease. It also promotes awareness through community events and initiatives, building upon the ice bucket challenge that brought widespread attention to ALS. The foundation aims to foster hope and support for patients and their families while working towards finding a cure.
