William Osler

William Osler was a pioneering Canadian physician, widely regarded as one of the founders of modern medicine and medical education. Born in 1849, he emphasized the importance of clinical experience and patient-centered care. Osler co-founded Johns Hopkins Hospital and medical school, where he introduced innovative teaching methods, including bedside clinical training. His seminal work, "The Principles and Practice of Medicine," became a standard medical textbook.
