Whiskey Distillation

Whiskey distillation is the process of turning fermented grain mash into whiskey. It begins with fermenting grains like barley, corn, or rye, converting sugars into alcohol. The mixture is then heated in a still, which uses heat to separate alcohol from the water and other components. As the alcohol evaporates, it rises through the still and is collected when cooled, condensing back into liquid. This process often involves multiple distillations to increase purity and flavor. Finally, the distilled spirit is aged in wooden barrels to develop its distinctive taste before bottling.
