Tlatelolco

Tlatelolco was an important ancient city located in what is now Mexico City, known for being part of the Aztec Empire. It thrived before the Spanish conquest and was a center of trade and culture. Today, Tlatelolco is also remembered for the tragic events of the 1968 student massacre, where Mexican government forces killed protesters advocating for social and political reforms.
