Sino-Indian War

The Sino-Indian War was a conflict between China and India that occurred between October 1962 and November 1962, primarily over territorial disputes in the Himalayan region. Tensions escalated due to differing perceptions of the border, particularly in areas like Aksai Chin and Arunachal Pradesh. China launched a surprise attack, which led to significant Indian military losses. The war ended with a unilateral Chinese ceasefire and the establishment of the Line of Actual Control (LAC), but it strained relations between the two countries for decades and has continued to influence their geopolitical dynamics.
