Seven Days Battles
The Seven Days Battles were a series of conflicts fought from June 25 to July 1, 1862, during the American Civil War. They took place near Richmond, Virginia, as Union General George McClellan attempted to capture the Confederate capital. Over a week, the Confederates, led by General Robert E. Lee, launched a series of counterattacks, forcing the Union army to retreat. Despite being outnumbered, Lee's aggressive tactics turned the tide in favor of the Confederates, marking a significant turning point in the war and boosting Southern morale while halting the Union's campaign against Richmond.
