Sensation and Perception

Sensation is the process of detecting physical stimuli from our environment through our senses (like sight and hearing), while perception is how our brain interprets these sensations to make sense of the world. Psychophysical laws, such as Weber's Law, explain the relationship between the intensity of a stimulus and our ability to notice changes in it. For example, it takes a larger difference in weight to feel that one object is heavier than another as the weights increase. Together, sensation and perception allow us to experience and understand our surroundings effectively.
