Polish resistance movements

Polish resistance movements during World War II were groups formed to oppose Nazi occupation and defend Polish sovereignty. The most notable was the Home Army (Armia Krajowa), which conducted sabotage, gathered intelligence, and participated in uprisings, such as the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Other groups included the Peasant Battalions and Communist factions, each with differing ideologies. These movements faced immense dangers, including violent reprisals from both the Nazis and Soviet forces. Despite limited success, their efforts symbolized Polish resilience and contributed to the eventual liberation of Poland from oppression after the war.
