Palaiologos Dynasty

The Palaiologos Dynasty was the last ruling family of the Byzantine Empire, reigning from 1261 until the fall of Constantinople in 1453. They restored the empire after a period of Latin occupation and faced numerous challenges, including internal strife, external threats from the Ottomans, and economic decline. Despite efforts to revive Byzantine culture and politics, the dynasty struggled to maintain control over an increasingly fragmented empire. The fall of Constantinople marked the end of the Palaiologos rule and the Byzantine Empire, leading to the rise of the Ottoman Empire.
