Pahlavi
Pahlavi refers to the last ruling dynasty of Iran, which lasted from 1925 until the 1979 Revolution. Founded by Reza Shah Pahlavi, the dynasty aimed to modernize and secularize the country, emphasizing nationalism and modernization through reforms in education, industry, and infrastructure. Reza Shah's son, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, succeeded him and faced challenges, including political dissent and social unrest. This culminated in the 1979 Iranian Revolution, which led to the establishment of an Islamic Republic. The Pahlavi era is often remembered for its mix of rapid modernization and political repression.
