Reza Shah Pahlavi
Reza Shah Pahlavi was the founder of the Pahlavi dynasty and served as the Shah of Iran from 1925 to 1941. He is known for modernizing Iran through reforms like building infrastructure, promoting education, and centralizing government authority. His leadership aimed to reduce foreign influence and strengthen Iran’s independence. However, he also ruled with an authoritarian style, limiting political freedoms. In 1941, during World War II, he was forced to abdicate in favor of his son due to Allied pressure. Reza Shah remains a significant figure for initiating Iran’s modernization efforts, though his rule was also marked by repression and top-down reforms.
