Leptons
Leptons are a fundamental type of particle in the universe, similar to electrons. They are part of the standard model of particle physics, which describes all known elementary particles. There are six types of leptons, including the electron, muon, and tau, as well as their corresponding neutrinos. Leptons do not experience strong nuclear forces, unlike other particles like protons and neutrons. They are essential for understanding atomic structure and play key roles in various physical processes, including weak nuclear interactions, which are responsible for radioactive decay.
