Tau particles
Tau particles are fundamental particles known as leptons, similar to electrons but much heavier. They are unstable, meaning they quickly decay into lighter particles, and are one of the six types of leptons in the Standard Model of physics. Taus have an electric charge of -1, like electrons, and interact through the weak nuclear force and electromagnetic force. Due to their short lifespan, they are studied in high-energy physics experiments, helping scientists explore fundamental forces and particles that make up our universe.
