Left Ventricle
The left ventricle is one of the four chambers of the heart, specifically responsible for pumping oxygen-rich blood to the entire body. It receives blood from the left atrium, which collects oxygenated blood from the lungs. When the left ventricle contracts, it pushes this blood into the aorta, the main artery that distributes it throughout the body. Its walls are thicker and stronger than those of the other chambers, reflecting its vital role in ensuring that all organs and tissues receive the oxygen and nutrients they need to function properly.
